Pub Ride (3 – 5 days)

View Gallery >

This is a great 3 day ride, starting and finishing at the Brandy House and staying at the Severn Arms and then the Harp at Old Radnor and riding some spectacular country. It is possible to extend the ride by staying at each pub for 2 nights, and having a day off or riding a petal ride at each.

Day 1 - 20.5 miles
A lovely ride between the Brandy House and the Severn Arms at Penybont. Starting out on crown estate over open hillside, and crossing the Nature Reserve of Tylcau Hill you then head out through rural farmland, ancient pasture and old drovers trails to skirt round Radnor Forest and on to Penybont

Day 2 (Optional)
A lovely 8 ½ or 12 mile circular ride up onto and along LLandegley Rocks a distinctly different landscape. The rocks were deposited 455 - 465 million years ago they record the formation and erosion of a volcanic island complex. Reportedly the earliest fossils on the planet have been unearthed here and the area is of global significance!

Day 3 - 16.5 miles
A beautiful ride around the Llangdegly rocks and over the impressive Radnor Hills south of the Whimble and over Castle Hill.

Day 4 (Optional)
8 ½ mile Circular ride crossing the border to Herefordshire to explore the amazing Hergest Ridge only 2 miles from Old Radnor. Explore the miles of super grassy tracks and a disused Victorian racecourse. You could spend a very happy day exploring up on Hergest Ridge.

Day 5 - 22 miles
The return ride to the Brandy House
